Have you ever thought of photography as a “team sport”? Have you ever considered that by always taking photographs by yourself, you could be missing all the fun of sharing your images with likeminded people? Joining Largs Camera Club will help you to build your passion for photography with others who share your hobby. We meet in the hall for specific tasks or to listen to guest speakers, sometimes in person, sometimes by zoom. In nice weather we head out and about to learn “on the job” often with a theme such as a technical challenge or a composition theme and make it fun by adding a required element.
We are a vibrant club with down to earth people, who are happy to help others learn and grow. You will find folk who know more than you and some who know less. We welcome beginners and experienced photographers alike. Our meetings have an instructional component as we learn how to make the most of our cameras, by having workshops, guest speakers, group tasks etc along with general chit chat over tea/coffee. We enjoy looking at each other’s images and giving constructive feedback, as well as having lots of fun and laughter.
Come along and give us a go, learn new styles of photography such as zoom-burst, macro, street, black and white, architecture, leading lines and minimalist. Shoot images you would never have thought of taking before. Get equipment advice and so much more. We have images displayed in Vikingar, Largs Library and for sale in The Gypsy Cream coffee shop if you want to look at some of our photographs.
The first 2 club meetings are free, after that we have an annual fee of £30 plus £5 for each meeting held in the hall (to cover hall rental).
