Mon 17 Aug 2026 - Club night: Framing Vikingar Prints into brand new frames
Please come on the 17th to with assist with the framing of the Vikingar prints, prior to us hanging them. This is deemed a better option practically, rather than on the day of the hang-up.
Please note that we do not have the capacity to store the prints, so members will be asked to hold them in their homes, until we display them, which should be shortly afterwards. If you are featuring your prints at the Vikingar, but are unable to attend on the night, please get in touch to let us know.
Mon 10 Aug 2026 - Informal Club Outing: Mindful Photography at Kelburn Country Park. Rescheduled to Monday 10th August
Mindful Photography can help us to slow down, and focus more on our surroundings, and see details we may normally miss, such as colour, shape and texture. I will do a brief presentation about this, then invite you to do some photography with mindful photography in mind in this gorgeous setting.

Mon 20 Jul 2026 - Club night: Showing of Prints for the Vikingar Exhibitiion
Largs Camera Club has an exhibition in the Vikingar Foyer / cafe area, which are changed every 2 years, which will take place in August of this year.
Every member has a chance to show a set of 3 prints, and tonight, each member that are taking part will be showcasing their prints to the group. 2 prints are in A4, and one in A2., and members should choose what they want their bigger print to be.
If you are new, and considering joining the club, then you still have time to see the current exhibition at Vikingar... if you haven't already of course :-)
Mon 6 Jul 2026 - Informal Walkabout at Fairlie Community Gardens: Close Ups / Macro Event
We have moved our Macro & Close-Ups event to July to enjoy the season, when the flowers will be blooming, and the bees will be buzzing.
Farlie Community Gardens is an amazing space that has been created with pollinators in mind, and we look forward to seeing many of you there.

Members of the club had formed into groups to do a photo project together. Examples of the project includes 'photographing in miniature' and 'cloning'. These projects are fun and creative, and we look forward to seeing each group's result :-)

Wed 3 Jun 2026 - Informal Summer Outing: Largs Sailing Club Racing Night. THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED + RESCHEDULED DUE TO THE FORECAST OF HEAVY RAIN
To take advantage of the Wednesday summer events at Largs Sailing Club, this month, we are moving our informal summer gathering to Wednesday 3rd June instead of the Monday.
We will meet at the Marina at 7 p.m., Racing event is scheduled to start at 7.10.
Looking forward to some great photo opportunities. If not possible due to the weather, we can postpone to the following Wednesday.

Mon 18 May 2026 - Bloom Zoom at Douglas Park
Our first event as part of our summer walkabouts will be next Monday, 18th May at Douglas Park. Come with your camera, take some creative shots of this gorgeous setting. Come try your hand at Zoom Bloom, Jim has given us details about this unique genre, and please find below informaiton that Jim has posted on FB, just incase you won't see it. I will also be bringing a step by step informtion sheet with me, come and have a go!

Mon 11 May 2026 - A presentation by Sylvan Buckley, landscape and astro-landscape photographer.
Sylvan Buckley, amateur photographer specialising in landscape and astro-landscape photography will be presenting to the club on the 11th May 2026.
Sylvan began his photography journey around 10 years ago when he began photographing the Scottish Highlands. Since then, his work has been published in major national newspapers and magazines, and he has had a feature article printed in the Scottish Field magazine
It should be a very interesting evening and nice to have local talent visit the club.
